The WELiT® IE X1 101 Wireless IR Extender Kit wirelessly extends IR signals over 433.92 MHz RF signals. This is an excellent option when one wishes to share and control A/V equipment across multiple rooms but lacks the appropriate connections to control equipment from separate rooms. The kit includes an infrared receiver, an RF transmitting unit, an RF receiving unit, an IR emitter module, a DC converter, and power cords. The diagram below depicts a typical product installation. lR Receive can be mounted on the TV's bezel or anywhere else we want to position the remote control during normal operation. The IR Receiver receives the infrared signal and transmits it to the RF Transmitting unit. This unit converts the infrared signal to an RF signal. This unit converts the infrared signal to an RF signal and sends it to the RF Receiving unit. This unit converts the RF signal back to an infrared signal and sends it to the IR emitter, through which the signal reaches the equipment.
RF Transmitting and Receiving units are outfitted with directional antennas that are extremely effective. These antennas are adaptable and can be positioned as needed. During the installation procedure, antennas can be adjusted to match the relative positions of the Transmitting and Receiving devices. As a result, this IR Extender System is particularly effective across longer distances. It can be utilized up to a distance of 150 meters in open areas. It can even be used within buildings where there are several walls, barriers, or concrete constructions between transmitting and receiving devices. It can be used within a building up to a distance of 100 meters, depending on the building and furniture construction. Additional RF Transmitting units can be utilized to deliver signals to a single RF Receiving unit if a single device is to be shared over more than two locations.
