It is powered by a 12 volt DC supply. A three-pin connector connects the sensing probe cable to the main sensor body. This can be disconnected during the installation procedure. This is particularly beneficial for installing recessed lighting. To pass through a narrow passage, disconnect the sensing probe from the main sensor body and reattach it after installation. Connect a load that operates on 12 volt DC to the sensor's output terminals and provide 12 volt DC as the sensor's input. A sensing probe should be positioned near the door so that it can detect the opening and closing of the door. The sensor-connected load will remain on as long as the door is open.
